A Few Important Notes For
Mums and Dads.
1. the road up to the
stables is not a race track,
please kindly observe the
rule of the road as with
spring upon us and summer not very far
away, mounted horses and ponies will
be transiting the roads
around about the stables.
Please drive with care.
2. Whilst your
child/ward is riding in a
private/group lesson or any
other activity held or
whilst on the grounds at
Horse Haven ; you cannot
randomly take pictures or
video of your child or any
other child/person whilst
they are present on Horse
Haven Riding School
premises, this
includes and
not restricted to the
riding of any horse or pony
belonging to Horse Haven
Riding School. This is
against company policy and
in
breach of current
regulations. We ask that
you strictly adhere to this
rule and not have to
embarrass a member of Horse
Haven Staff or
yourself.
Please ask a Senior Member
of Staff for advice and they will be only too happy to
help and advise. |

20th Apr 2011 |
An important day seeing the
visit of Elaine Smith the
Scottish
Labour Candidate for Coatbridge & Chryston. Elaine spent a good 90
minutes at Horse Haven viewing the complete facilities we have
here and was amazed at just how much we here at Horse Haven
have to offer the surrounding local communities. Elaine listened
very carefully to what the differing skill sets that are on offer at
Horse Haven for children and adults. Though these are not only just
for the local community, but the important tourist trade that transits
the area. Not many riding schools offer Instructors fluent in both
French and German. In turn of what Elaine saw on the day she
hopes she will be able to do more for Horse Haven if re-elected.
Elaine took a few
moments out with a rare
photographic opportunity
with Mrs Robinson and
Estella Blaze (Stable Name -
Amber).
We wish you every success on
the 5th of May in the
Elections and will look
forward to seeing you back
soon. |

A warm early spring night for the
third annual Horse Haven
Riding School Awards and our
Clear Round Event which
took place after the prizes
had been awarded.
Senior and Junior Rider of
the Year categories it was a
very close thing indeed
though as we have said all
year, the more you compete
and take part in tests the
more points you gain.
Well done to Jennifer and
Catherine for all the very
hard work they both had
achieved throughout 2010.
The Bishopbriggs Stable Management Award
was won this year by Peter
Macdonald who was until a
year ago a complete beginner
that came along one night
with his daughter to see how
the lessons are ran.
Peter is now completely
hooked on both Equitation
and Stable Management and
studying very hard for his
next exams
Finally the Horse Haven
Advanced Horsemanship Award
was won by Nicole
Robinson who has advanced
herself tremendously this
year out competing and doing
well at these external
events, though also rising
to the challenge of winning
many internal events along
with training young stock
and remedial training for
ponies. The complete set of
nominations from all the
instructors for this award
sealed the deal.
The final presentations for
the night firstly came from
Mrs. Margaret Mitchell who
was the MSP for Central
Scotland until the recent
dissolvent of the current
Scottish Parliament. Mrs.
Mitchell presented Professor
Robinson with the esteemed
BHS "Where to Train"
Accreditation Plaque. Mrs.
Mitchell addressed the
audience stipulating how
prestigious an award this
has been for Horse Haven to
achieve. The second
presentation came from Mrs.
Catrina Andrews who
presented Professor Robinson
with the ABRS Scottish
League Table Winners Award
for Top Equitation and
Stable Management combined
total tests. On a further
note Horse Haven Riding
School won both the
individual leagues in both
Equitation Tests and Stable
Management Tests.
A hearty well done to
everyone that achieved a
prize, it is a magnificent
achievement to win one of
these trophies. |
